I wouldn't be that confident in the "not mounting is better than re-rendering mounted" theory.. most likely sometimes yes and sometimes not at all.

As to resetting the form on dialog open, that's on me for not giving a better example, but it's not about whose solution is better, if you consider the "props supersede state" scenario we were looking into, right?
